I (thought I)carefully booked Asia Air flights from Singapore-Bangkok-Chiang Mai return in April this year only to find out that they cancelled one of the flights and I had to forfeit another because they said I needed at least 3 hours between fights to pick up my baggage and check in for the next(international) leg..

All up it was a mess causing me to pay more than I would have if I had originally booked with a non budget airline.

Hopefully others on here won't suffer the same fate...Best of Luck

PS try to take (sneak) on as much hand luggage as you can..preferably in a smallish suitcase plus you can take a laptop as well..(amazing how many clothes fit in a laptop bag!) And get up front of the queue at the boarding gate..there's no seat allocations and it's like the running of the bulls at Pamplona when it comes to securing your seats..
