your generous offer to supply high quality foodstuffs to the non deserving beach vendors brings a tear to my eye, as I am sure that it will to theirs.
To address the issue of cooking the product in a satisfactory manner, I really like your suggestion of asking the Bakso man, as this will save you the trouble of purchasing a camp stove, and perhaps running foul of the local authorities who may see you as an alternate vendor, and demand that you purchase the appropriate vendors trading licence.
With regard to the ham issue, this is a tricky one, as the third world Bakso man is most likely to be Javanese, and therefore unlikely to be a Jehovas Witness.
It is also well known that Javanese are predisposed to much violence when aroused, especially by a stranger bearing baked beans.
In this regard, I suggest that you deceive the Bakso man (should be easy as he will be totally uneducated) into believing that this is some sort of new "super Grain" rice, developed overseas using genetically modified base products.
In terms of fair renumeration for the B.M. I would think that just giving him the empty tins for the scrap value should suffice.
As a matter of interest, please advise exactly where and when you will perform this philanthropic act, as I would like to sell tickets to people interested to see a side show.
Good luck!
