Jungle Rd years before the Rum Jungle Hotel was built.
The hotel was named after the Rd not the other way around.
As with so many roads ( Oborei is another) this was built and maintained by the hotel at the end, in this case the Kuta Palace Hotel ( now Jayakarta ) so it didn't have an official name.
Rum Jungle suited it and the road was pretty bloody rum too with potholes you could lose a car in.
