I think there are a few factors governing hotel price rises in Bali. Petrol and electricity price hikes are part of it. Supply and demand is another.
Honestly though through all the times since the bomb(s) when times were so very quiet we all got some very cheap prices which I enjoyed as much and as often as anyone but I think they were artificially low prices brought about by low occupancy and we need to accept it is now going to cost us more.
I still plan to look for the best deal I can get but it is unrealistic to expect the bargain prices to continue.
I plan to be thankful for the bargains we got and just get over the fact that we now, if we want to go, will just have to pay more realistic prices. So, no whinging from this particular pom.
