I've only been once before and stayed at the Ramayana for 13 nights and took $2,000AUD spending money. I came home with $700 after eating out at mid-priced restaurants every night, buying surf clothes from actual surf stores and going on a couple of day trips. I'm taking the same in October but don't expect to go through $1000 this time as I know how to bargain confidently now and can buy fake clothes everywhere for much cheaper :)
So on average I went through $100 per day... Over $200 on a couple of days and below $50 on some days. I was a 25 year old and only went out clubbing 1 night. If you plan to go drinking more nights, the price will go up significantly unless you drink "arak" mixes.
