Hi Sharon. Budi is a little more expensive than most, but he's worth it! He charges 500'000rp for a full day (9-10 hours) and 300'000rp for a half day (4-5 hours). We found his 'half day' was all we needed for a full day sometimes. His prices are fixed. You can haggle with the guys on the street, but they are no where near as good as Budi. I would email Budi a week before you leave for Bali. Just let him what type of theings you would like to do, and he will make some suggestions. The good thing about this guy is he goes where you want to go, he won't take you to all the 'tourist' shops etc, where you feel like you have to buy something. If you don't want to stop somewhere, you are in control. If you want to go back to your hotel early, you can. Once in Bali, a couple of days notice is all you'll need. Get yourself a local sim card, and text him when you want to do something. We just told him the type of things we were in to, and he suggested some places. Try and use your time wisely. If going up north etc, plan a stop at a local market etc, and plan where you would like to stop for lunch. Have a great time, I'm missing Bali already, and planning my next trip!
