I understand what you're saying about giving him supervised freedom. But I'm also wondering why you are deciding to do that in Bali? If you wouldn't take him to a nightclub in your home country why would you do it in Bali? It seems to be the mentality among so many tourists (not saying you're one of them) that you can do WHATEVER you want in Bali, NO RULES! What about showing him the Balinese culture, arts, nature, temples etc. surely that will give him a better lasting impression of what Bali is really about, rather than "It's a COOL place to go clubbing!!" I'm not condemning partying, but I don't think that's an association he needs to make with Bali at such a young age, he'll be doing plenty of it soon enough anyway. Just my opinion....
