when we went in Oct last year. Some people we met through friends of ours bought a heap of fireworks from stall in the Tuban area. We were eating at the Bali Colada and could see all these fireworks going off they looked beautiful. Then only to find out it was our friends neighbour at their hotel who had let them off they had a close get away from the local police. Apparently it is an offence now but they still sell them which is a bit strange.
