Hi we went there in Jan this year and it was deserted. Our family were only ones there apart from some locals having a picnic over the road. It is very well set up and the guys instruct you well and have quite strict rules that you have to follow and you have to demonstrate that you can manage each lower level before moving up heigher tree levels. Everyone starts on the 1 metre high level no matter who you are what or what claim to talent you have !!!
We had my 8 yr old thru to 50 ++ hubby who all managed and only our 3 teens were the fit ones. The 8 yr only did 1st 2 levels, the 10yr 4 levels, 2 teens and our driver (we paid for him to have some fun too !!) got all the way to level 7 (highest trees) and hubby + 1 other teen bowed out on level 6. Now I was not even planning to attempt it so just watched from below and it is quite fascinating to view. All 6 of my crew said it would be a breeze but had the stuffing whacked out of them by the last one and my 10yr old who thought he could manage the next higher level had to be rescued and lowered down when he just couldnt move any more. The guys are most willing to encourage you to keep going up levels but willing to help get you down safely with no dramas if you get stuck. I think the problem is my 17yr olds said was that your arms and legs start to get wobbly from all the exertion of hanging on and the higher you go the more movement in the trees as well. Anyway enough rambling, they had a ball, it is not expensive, they fully kit you out and you can take as much time as you want and repeat the whole course if you feel up to it and the drive up there is just beautiful, spectacular scenery. Left email open if you want to know more cheers Deb
