There are 7 villas at seraya and each one is very different and all are really nice. We usually stay in the daydream villa which has queen bed and open bathroom downstairs and upstairs has a big L shaped daybed which you can also sleep in and looks over the pool and ocean..as you know great view especially at sunset with a cold drink! In April this year (with 2 teenagers) we stayed in the downstairs pool villa which is massive and has a huge verandah with a day bed and table to eat at if you want. It reminds us of the old tea plantation houses with huge verandahs. They have 3 eating areas overlooking the water to choose from. I think the one you saw them finishing off was the area at the end which actually has a view round the corner to the island and will be a great spot for the sunrise and you could also fish off there!
Have a look at their website, unfortunately they don't have the 2 new villas which overlook the pool on there yet. We always ask for a price inclusive of all meals as Sasa the chef makes fantastic fresh food and as you know its a little isolated to "pop out for food". Depending on the villa for 2 of us including all meals is approx US$110 per night and I will tell you now you won't be disappointed with the villas or food. It is one of our favourite places and worth a look. Sometimes we do have trouble getting thru for enquires on the website but keep trying its worth it. Email if you need any other info.
