Here goes, my first JBR. Husband has a new passport with a microchip in the middle, he was searched at Perth, frisked at customs ,I wonder what is recorded on the chip? Left Perth on 11th, Mothers day, only 43 passengers on the plane WOW, plenty of room. Arrived on time but got the xxxx on one case, had 5 ltrs wine inside a two bottle carry bag, had a superficial look and nodded through phew!!!Taxi to gvc, booked in and to the bar for a drink but it was deserted so over to the supermarket, bottle of arak, bitter lemon, some ice from the bar and back to our room, finished the bottle, slept well and ready for the first day back. The usual hectic breakfast at 9am, book in for a massage, laze around the pool with a book and off to Posers for first cold bintang and nase goring, yum, another cold bintang and back for a nana nap. Room service for bali kopi, then a trip to bintang supermarket to stock up on goodies. Bought spirits, genuine, for similar prices as home quite a selection of wines, even champagne! Walked over and up to LaMonde for garlic butter prawns, husband had hot tom yum soup,s&s fish and a couple of drinks, Dickie said hello to everyone, and we met a new waitress working there, minnie, in size, but not personality. Listened to Yellow Band from the balcony, great music, lovely breeze, temp perfect, and just chilled out. Bought a few dvds and listened till band finished, about midnight to bed. Woke to lovely gentle tropical rain, birds singing what a way to start the day. more later in chapter 2, cheers
