I have explored this as my husband is mad keen fisherman also. However we looked into the cost of doing the charter fishing and the cost works out to be about the same as here. The other deciding factor for not going ahead with it, is there is nowhere to keep or cook your fish after if you are staying in hotel accommodation. Of course you could give it away or you could ask the hotel chefs to cook them up... Another deciding factor was that hubby likes using his gear, and so to cart it over to Bali and back would be a bit of a hassle. If you google charter fishing in Bali, it comes up with heaps of companies that offer this service. Good luck!
