Hi,you don't need to take your Australian sim card with you, I normally take mine out of my phone and keep it safe in the hotel safety deposit box. They will set everything up for you if you ask them. You will get a different number but they give you the sim card packet with your phone number on it. I have all my phone numbers saved to my phone so when they put the bali sim card in all your numbers are saved to your phone, it is very easy beleive me, don't forget to take your charger.i have left my e-mail open if you want to contact me, cheers, Carole
