if you have only paid a deposit, shouldn't you be able to alter your booking to a minimum number of nights say 4 nights only and then organise the rest of your time over the internet with the Suriwatha???
i know it would be difficult if you have already paid for the whole holiday, but I can't see why you couldn't make changes!!!!
check with your travel agents.
