Deb, I can't comment on the pool situation at present but when we stayed in Jan 07 the donut pool was a bit murky, but this was cleared up after a couple of days so we just swam in the other bigger pool.
The only cereal they usually have is cornflakes and something that looks like the milo cereal(its chocolate flavoured like crispix ).
Bacon is available and you get it off the eggman, all you do is ask when you get your eggs cooked anyway you like.
You can get massages around the pool as they have massage tables but be aware that any service attracts a 21% tax. They have swim up bars at both the big pools, and again all drinks attract at 21% tax.
Cannot comment on interconnecting rooms as we always stay in the old suite rooms, closer to the beach.
