Don't be polite - this behaviour shouldn't be tolerated and I think we should avoid staying there. Sometimes it's because of the exorbitant prices hotels charge that we bring drinks back into the hotel.
Hotels need to make money to be viable - but this is extortion.
Name the hotel!
