I would try to avoid the large Ace type places as you will get better pricing at the smaller hardwarw type shops where you see power tool signs.
If drill bits are a guide to the quality of cutting discs etc. I would buy from home.
I have bought bits at Ace, but you need quality tungsten bits for some work, and the local stuff just wont do it.
I'd be inclined to take quality cutting discs, but get the grinders etc there.
