Bali is definately not like Bangkok many over passes to cross the streets we have stayed at the Indra regent and from our room we had the view of the traffic coming in the morning starting at about 6am I have never seen so many cars before it was unbelievable. A few places I really love when I went there do try to see the bridge on the river Kwai it was a great trip. We also had 5 days there. The zoo was unbelievable so big that was a great place. Go on the local river taxi that was a great experience. Be careful not to get taken in by the touts. We were very green the first year we went there and were definately conned by 4 groups of people. But you definately learn by your mistakes. They may tell you that certain places you may want to visit are closed for the morning or the afternoon this is not true it a way of them getting you to visit places so they can get their fuel vouchers and you have wasted your time going to places you didnt want to go to. The shopping is good it is dearer than Bali but I believe it much better quality. They have a huge amount of Wats there and are very beautiful and the Palace was interesting place to see also. Food & drinks much dearer than Bali and also the taxis and definately dont catch one in the afternoon the traffic is shocking it took us near 1 hr to get just over 1km. I could have walked faster. We have been to Bangkok 3 times and I did enjoy my trip but I do love Bali.
