I must say thankyou to all forumites, for all the information I picked up from this site, it certainly helped. Just a few bits & pieces that may help someone else. It is mainly for Sanur area.

We stayed at Griya Santrian,Sanur & would recommend it. They certainly do everything possible to ensure you have a wonderful time.
The meals at the hotel were great & not overly expensive. Use some of the hotel's people for pedicures, etc. once again they weren't that expensive. Pedicure 140,000 ( 2hrs), while just out on the beach quoted 143,000.

Take clothes, books, pencils, etc. over with you for the orphans. The guest relations lady can organize for you to visit or as we did, she will take the goods out to them for you.

The kodak shop near Hardy's is fine for changing money, never had any trouble. Make sure to visit Hardy's, it's much more than a supermarket.( fixed price). Also Jenny's fixed price shop at Sindhu beach markets. Also just south along the beachfront from Jenny's, you will find Charlie Brown's shop. He sells watches & jewellery. Get to know him & Coco, who is next door ,they are lovely people & lots of fun.

Drivers- Made Anastha, ph 08123911654 , a lovely quiet & polite man. Tell him Erica & Ian recommened him. Also use the bluebird taxis without any problems. Just make sure they are bluebirds.

Meals We had a couple at Jepun(down by the roundabout) which were lovely. Also the waiter there, Agus, is also a taxi driver ph 081338392195. The Porch, great breakfasts. Bennos, on the beach near Sindhu markets, great food & staff. Wasn't wrapped with Bonsai Cafe, but may have been an off day for them.

We had a wonderful time & felt so special, it's a pity it's a lot harder to get that feeling at home. The Balinese are such beatiful people & deserve a better life than a lot of them will have. It's good that Aussie tourists are in the increase & everyone we spoke to said to tell Aussies to come & visit. Have started saving for next trip, which can't come soon enough.

Dolphin Leather was great with tailoring of clothes & copying shoes. The two young fellas there were great.
