When we stayed at Bali Mystique in 2005, we stayed in the older hotel section. We checked out a few of the suites with Norman, the manager. The rooms were spacious and well planned and decorated.
We personally didnt like the location, having stayed previously in Legian, Kuta, Tuban, Sanur, Ubud etc.
We found it too isolated. We like to be able to walk out of the hotel and shop and meet and greet the locals.
Nearby restaurants were Living Room, La Lucchiola and KuDeTa.
Easy to grab a taxi to venture out shopping. A km or two to walk to 'Eat Street'.
The beach is nice, clean white sand, just avoid the area near La Lucchiolo where the drain empties into the sea. A little further north was a beach where we found ourselves to be the only non gays.

The Pelangi is still in the Seminyak area and on the beachfront. What about the Amanda in Laksmana?
