I usually go from Kuta/Legian to Ubud, then to Lovina, then either Amed (only once), Candi Dasa or Padang Bai.
I always just negotiate with a driver on the street the morning I want to go to each place. It's easy and you can sit back and enjoy the scenery. You can also ask your driver to stop at certain places on the way, eg Kintamani, Git Git water falls etc.
If you go to Lovina make sure you do a trip to the hot springs and the Buddist Temple. On the way to Amed etc. ask to stop at the natural springs Air Sanih
