This person is quite aware that there are many poor people in Indonesia, but my post offered a way to directly connect with a children's home and directly make a difference. Publicity is a good thing.
You will never stop some people blowing their own trumpet when it comes to doing good. It is part of human nature. Better we put up with a few trumpet blowers than children in need potentially miss out.
The link to my original post is below. Yes, I went into detail - I think it was appropriate. If I'd simply posted 'there are poor people in Lombok who you may want to seek out and help' I very much doubt there would have been a response.
