Hello - My boyfriend and I have just decided to go to Bali for our vacation in two weeks. I do not have much time to plan! From what I've read it seems would want to stay in the south somewhere, but I'm wondering if the areas with resorts are too commercial and too touristy? I've read that Jimbaran has a nice beach that is not too commercial yet. We would like to stay on the beach for a few days, but I also read that we should stay near Kintami one night so we can hike to the top for sunrise. My boyfriend appreciates resorts and amenities, but I'd rather just stay in a cheap bungalow on the beach. Perhaps we can do a bit of both, or find something in between.
I know this is pretty broad, but I really appreciate any suggestions for what area to stay in, specific hotels or itineraries!
