thats the main thing. I havent had any trouble with any of them, but I dislike Jetstar seats, too upright and uncomfortable. I like quantas but their fleet are getting old, but their service is good. Garuda, great service, but maintenaince is in the very back of my mind. It's rare that a plane comes down. I read something the other day that you were more likely to die 3 times on the way to buying a lotto ticket, than you are to win it. Not very cheery, but on the whole, I think airlines nowdays are pretty safe. Their business relies on it. So I would travel on any of the main ones without any hesitation. Comes down to preference, value and convenience really.
Garuda does get you in the spirit of what's to come - like starting your holiday a few hours early, and that has to be a GREAT thing!!!!
