It's so convenient and, like you said hands free.
My beloved bum bag has seperate compartments. I keep my aussie dollars in one compartment and when I change money I put my rupiah in another seperate compartment.
No need to hang shoulder bags around your head, and you hardly know it's there. Its just like wearing a belt.
Money belts are another alternative, but they just don't have the space that a bum bag offers. You can put a pen and little calculator, notepad etc into a bum bag easily...very handy.
