a couple of years ago it took us a good 2 hours straight to get to Lovina for the day. They do have dolphin watch tours from Lovina beach, but I know that some leave very early in the morning and I am unsure as to whether they have them during the day but I would assume so.
The Melka Hotel Lovina is the place to go to if you want to swim with the dolphins in a pool. you would need to contact them to arrange this.
There is a balinese guy who has a stand out the front of the Inna Kuta beach hotel which is right on kuta beach. Apparently when the babies have hatched they put them in the see. there is recent info on this experience on this forum, so maybe do a search through the archives.
good luck
