Stayed on the island this time last year and have 7 days untill we return for this years holiday with wife and two daughters 13 and 15. Last year I had to drag them to the island as they thought it would be to quite however they enjoyed it! We stayed 7 nights at the Bali Dynasty then 3 nights at Lembongan Island Beach Villas back to Bali Dynasty for the last 4 nights. We had such a great holiday last year we are doing the exact same this year.
We used the Scoot and was lucky the weather was good and had no problems. You can't go past Lembongan Island Beach Villas you might pay a bit more but the service and views are worth it. I think we payed $100 a night for a two bedroom villa with views over the bay. Try and book a low number villa (we use number 5) as the bigger the number the higher up on the hill you are. Can fill the time in on the island no problems. Hired motor bikes went scuba diving lazed around the pool and just had a relaxing time. You would have to walk to Mushroom bay if you want a ocean swim as the area infront of Lembongan Island Beach Villas is the seaweed farm. Nice to look out at them working however not a good swiming spot (does not smell). Pleanty of nice reastrants along the walkway to eat of a night. This year we have booked direct with the villa and have had no problems. We liked haveing the rest from Turbin then going back to finish the holiday off befor heading home.
