As Jillie says there are many accommodations in and around Amed but due to the hilly terrain many are perched high off the water (but more than offset with great views of course). There are a few however that are located right on the beach only metres from the beach for those that want to be as close as possible to the water.
One such place is "Life in Amed" (see their website link below). A lovely english lass (Sarah Laight) runs the place and she is a pleasure to do business with, very quick to respond to emails and extremely helpful. We will be passing thru again next trip with a group of 12 and staying there a few nights in early August.
