Hi ya we went in Jan with 5 rat bags 8yr - 17 and almost all the resturants we ate at were very kid friendly. Having kids in tow you need a kids menu and quick fast service and most places were pretty good. We only did ones recommended from this forum and I made a list before we went of all the ones suggested and they were all middle of road price wise and all just nice and relaxed/casual type places which Bali is anyway. We didnt do any posh places at all. Our favourite legian area was along the beach stretch near Jayakarta/ Kuluma Pantai hotel. Blue Ocean, Seaside, italiano at KP, were all very relaxed and had kid food and the breeze in the evening is just devine. The local area has many more that were the same including Uncle Norms, Flying Piano, Drops, La Monde (very good with kids), Indo national, Yutz's. We had such a huge list to choose from that I came home disappointed that we hadnt tried more !! But I guess it gives you something to look forward too when planning a return trip. We went past Un's and Maccaroni a few times and they looked good too. The most fun was probably had at Bubba Gumps and food was wonderful, a little more pricy but cheap by aussie standards and such great atmosphere that your happy to pay a little more. Your family will certinally not go hungry the variety of choices on menus is fantastic and my best advice is to make a list BUT include the street name / address so you can show it to which ever driver you use and it makes it easier for them to know where to take you.
Have fun, cheers Deb
