If you need to have a colourbond timber shingle roof and still want a Balinese look from underneath your structure when you look up, you can get a great effect by lining the underside of your roof with naturereed. We have a huge Balinese deck attached to our house (70squares) but the roof is not visible from the house or our garden (also Balinese style) so we lined the ceiling with naturereed. Looks great! Could be an option for you to assist with getting that Balinese look. Whatever you do have fun creating your own little bit of Bali right in your own backyard.
