You can load your credit card up so it's in a positive balance, then use it in Bali like an ATM card for withdrawals. Depending on your financial institution, this can be cheaper on the fees you're charged per withdrawal.
I use a visa debit card from my local credit union. It has no 'credit' attached, so the balance is always positive, and my credit union charges me no ATM fees for withdrawals when I'm in Bali.
