the Puri Bagus is definitely a cut above all the other hotels in Lovina. Most of them are very similar, nice enough gardens, a fair pool, in the main drag.
The PB is really special. The bungalows are wonderful, our front entrance and verandah faced the beach and our back entrance and verandah was almost on a magnificent tobacco plantation. Yes there are 2 entrances.
The rooms are masssive, the 2 bathrooms are great, and the hotel grounds are superb. You can lie on a bale right on the ocean foreshore and be pampered with staff bringing drinks, food, fluffing up huge pillows.
The pool is wonderful also , you feel like you are in the ocean.
This place is worth staying at. Lovina is a quiet place anyway, you don't go shopping like in Kuta and even though you can get a bemo to the main town in a few mins, there are restaurants right outside the PB anyway.
Stay 2-3 nts.
