I asked Ken why my thread regarding the police hotine was deleted and he said that the number I had was the normal police number and not a hotline as the hotline was a hoax.
Just for all you Bali bike riders out there, even though the number isn't a hotline number it still works to put the currupt police in there place when they try and extort money from you for no good reason after they have pulled you over on a bike.
I have the police number written on my international licence. Last May I was pulled over and the usual "give me money" routine happened, so my fine (for do nothing wrong) didn't have to go to court. I started to dial the number and said I was ringing the police hotline and they gave me back my licence and told me to move on.
So the bottom line is, if this happens to you, do the same thing and the police very quickly change there tune.

Dave
