I know of two couples who live in the same town as you and are going to meet us in Bali
They have been told that because they are two International flights(Coolangatta to kl and KL to Bali) that they have to clear customs when they enter KL and go through customs again to fly to Bali.
So they would not have time to catch their connecting flights and will have to stay in KL overnight.
I can put you in touch with these people if you like and will stand corrected if the information I have passed on is incorrect!
