flew Qantas from Perth plane was delayed two hrs, arrived at the Wida Hotel they didnt have our booking they gave us a room for the night and they sorted it out the next morning. Wida was very quite the only time it seemed busy was on the weekends when other Indonesians had a long weekend. Took travelan every meal did not get Bali Belly and washed hands all the time with dettol soap. We ate at various places.
Tjs mexican,Poppies,Havanna,Indo-International,Bali Rock one night they had a band and Drag show and the bar tenders did their bar tricks. Wayans and a couple of other restaurants down poppies 1 and 2.
If anybody needs bubble wrap the surf board shops down poppies 2 have plenty. Mostly caught bluebird taxis as we found the other taksis took us the long way.
Shopping
Carrefour this place is huge worth the visit just to look at the food. Went to Cozy for creme hair bath and hubby had a massage. He had a few in the time we where in Bali and he said it was the best so far. Ketuts, Geneva check any wooden items you buy just in case borers are present brought some nice nick knacks for home. Mataharis,Animale, Surf Factory Outlets, Dvds. Boutiques, Dogs tail. Hubby brought a surfboard bag for $25. Also took an old mobile and brought a sim card for it.
We changed our money at a authorised money changer just over the road from Jalan Melasti, and Janlan Legian.
Theres nothing like sitting on the Beach having a icecold Bintang watching the sun go down.
Places we visited Uluwatu,Bingin,Dreamland Beach a bit disappointed with all the work going on here. We got a driver one afternoon and drove to Ubud, it was fine when we left Legian and by the time we got to Ubud it was bucketing down and it wasnt going to stop a bit disappointed but the driver said its only raining in Ubud and Legian nice and sunny we just laughed. I think the whole of Bali got rained on that day.
Now the fun bit we thought we had to come home on the 4th both of us didnt check our tickets and the reception guy said are we booking out and we looked at each other and went to check our tickets and oh my god we missed our flight that morning. Okay panic stations set in got on the internet quick smart Qantas Bali Office shut on weekends, okay try ringing Qantas at home got to customer service and pressed one and the phone dropped out after a few time of doing this the next option was to see if we could get on a Garuda Fight and yes we could so back to hotel to collect passports and cash for the flight home.
We arrived home and got caught up in the security scare we must of sat on the plane for 2.5 hrs. Rang Qantas in the morning of our return to find out we lost our whole airfare not happy but these things happen.
