Both my husband and daughter need to travel with medication so we always take enough for the trip only. I carry a letter listing all meds from the doctor and take prescriptions as well, and make sure all are in bottles etc with patient name. We like to pack all documents and meds in our hand luggage as it would be awful if any were lost. We have never declared any and have never had any hassles on any of our trips and feel better knowing we have covered ourselves if ever queried at customs.
