I have always taken a copy of presciption and a letter from my GP saying what I am taking and why. (It also has my GPs contact details too). I keep some meds on me with the letter and another copy and the rest of my tabs in my baggage. I do this for a number of reasons. Im epilpetic and if for some reason my baggage got lost/delayed etc and I was without my medication I would experience dramas. I have done this on my doctors advice when I have travelled to the US, Thailand and NZ in the past couple of years and it is just good for peace of mind. Everyone is different though, and situations of being able to get a hold of your different prescriptions may or may not be an issue in different countries, but I know for me it is much easier that way.
