Hello,

Here are a few phrases. It might be a little hard to remember them, but if you practise with the locals, you will pick it up very quickly.

Selamat pagi. : Good Morning midnight -11am
selamat siang : Good mid-day 11am - 3pm
selamat sore : good afternoon : 3pm - 6pm
selamat malam : good evening/night : 6pm - midnight
Sampai nanti : See you later
Terima kasih : Thank you
Kembali : Your are welcome

Apa kabar: : How are you
Baik-baik saja. (dan Anda?) : Just fine (and you?)
Baik sekali. : Very good
Ulangi(lah) : Please repeat
Baiklah :OK
Adding 'lah' to some orders like duduk-lah puts the request in a pleasant tone. Similar to sit please. Duduk - sit

Nama saya adalah Tom : My name is Tom
Nama Anda siapa? : What is your name?
Saya berasal dari Australia. : I originally come from Australia.
Anda berasal dari mana? : Where do you originally come from?
Saya tinggal di Perth. : I live in Perth
Anda tinggal di mana? : Where do you come from?

Hope this helps :)
