It's my understanding that infants are not given anything for stomach bugs or the runs, but they are best left till its run it's course. I remember my daughter being sick, (in Sydney so not Bali Belly) and the doctor told me their bowels are not developed, not the same as an adult and therefore should not be treated the same way. I think they would just treat the dehydration.
