The wait shouldnt be too bad unless you arrive at the same time as a few other flights, or a huge tour group gets to the VOA desk before you do.

I must say immigration in Jakarta is getting faster, however be prepaid to wait a while for the luggage to come out.

Dont bother to use a porter. Once you get thru immigration, get someone travelling with you, or yourself, go and grab a trolley, dont take one from a porter, unless you have heaps of stuff and really need help.

If you arent being picked up by the hotel, order a taxi with the taxi stands, just as you leave the customs area.

Once you pass thru there, be extra careful with your bags, and anything in your pockets. Becareful with the touts trying to offer you their transport. Becareful of the guys waiting on the side of the road, where u load luggage, they'll grab your luggage and place it in the boot of the taxi for money, but then ask for 10 or 20 US Dollars. They are alot more aggressive than Bali.

I hope I havent worried you too much, but I live in Jakarta, and I really HATE the damn airport. Its the only place I feel uneasy in Jakarta.
