My daughter Chloe's JBR. In Bali from 14th to 26th April. Family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children.
14th April
We woke up really early this morning at 3.45am to get to the airport. The taxi driver that drove us there drove quite fast. We flew with Garuda Indonisia. Our flight left at 6.50am. On the plane, Mum and I didn't eat anything so by the time we got to Bali we were really hungry. When we got to Adi Dharma (our hotel) we got in the pool and I ordered some french fries and a pineapple juice at the pool bar. We had a long swim and came back to our rooms. Tonight we are going to buy some snacks. We are having dinner somewhere close but i don;t know where. I hope there will be cats wherever we go because I want to feed them.
15 April
Today for breakfast I had watermelon and pineapple. After breakfast we caught a taxi to Matahari Shopping Centre. It was great. I bought a single disc for my Nintendo that had 21 games on it! It cost 500,000rp or $60 aussie dollars which is the same as it costs to buy one game in Australia. We had a cool McFlurry at McDonalds. It was really nice. We did lots of shopping. I bought a red watch, a frangipani sarrong, a hair clip and some room decortions. Then we came back to the hotel. I had french fries and chicken strips and a relaxing swim. We went to Secret Garden for dinner. There were 3 cats there and 1 was pregnant - we called her Bubbles.
16 April
I had a croisoint for breakfast. We caught the shuttle bus to Legian today. At a good cheap shop I bought a great pink bag, I also bought a blue spotty dress and some Roxy shirts. For lunch at Seaside I had chicken and chips. We went to Kumala Pantai which is where I will be staying in June, and tried to see some kittens but the owners weren't there. We came back in the taxi. Then we had a nice swim in the pool
17 April
This morning Ketut drove us to the Bali Safari Park. When we got there we went on the safari and saw lots of animals. Then I rode on an elephant. It was great! (and bumpy!) I then had my photo with a baby orangutan. It was sooo cute and cuddely! It took my hand and showed me around it's home! then I had a cuddle with a lion cub. It was so beautiful! We had some lunch and then we went to the water park section and I had a nice swim. Kutut drove us back to the hotel. We had dinner at a nice place in Kuta, I had chicken satays and a donut for dessert.
18 April
This morning for breakfast there was banana pancakes so I cut out the banana. It was so scrummy!
Then we caught a taxi to the shops where we bought Thomas some croc pegs. Then we went to Matahari and I got a frangipani hair clip. We came back to the hotel and had a long swim. Then we had some lunch and I had a mocktail. After that Mum took me to get my nails painted.
19 April
This morning Ketut took us to Bali Zoo Park. It was a looong drive but not as long as it took us to get to the safari park. It took about 45minutes. On the way we stopped at a silver making factory. We watched a lady gluing tiny little silver balls onto a little silver ball.
When we got there we bought some animal food to feed the animals. We saw the Sun Bears. We fed them some bananas and this funny red fruits. Then we went to the petting zoo. I held some baby rabbits. They were very cute and fluffy. I fed a spotty deer. It looked like Bambi. Then I had my photo with an Indonesian Parrot. It sat on my head. We had lundh in a nice relaxing restaurant at the Zoo. I had pizza. We had a nice relaxing afternoon by the pool. After dinner (at Seaside) we went to Kumala Pantai and saw Catherine the cat
20 April
This morning we had some breakfast and then we had our last swim at Adi Dharma. Then our driver Ketut drove us to our new hotel, Bali Rani. We had a welcome drink and some lunch. We then had a swim in the pool for a long time. For dinner we went to Green Garden. I had a burger.
21 April
This morning for breakfast I had chocolate cake and pineapple juice. Then we walked down the street to the markets. We went to a fixed price ship first. There I bought a t-shirt that said "toughen up princess", also lots of other shirts. I also bought a silky pink kimono. It's really pretty and I can also use it as a summer dressing gown.
For morning tea we walked to a bakery called Bread Talk. I got a blueberry muffin that was really nice. Then we had a long cool swim and I met a little girl from Sweden who was 3. Her name was Nova and she was really cute. That night I felt sick and we had KFC for dinner.
22 April
This morning I woke up sick and we had to cancel our trip to the crocodile park.): All morning we pretty much just sat around and watched TV. I watched Nickolodeon. I liked SpongeBob. We had lunch at a nice restaurant and I had a burger and coke. That afternoon we had a really long swim and I played with Nova. The hotel photographer came to the pool and took some really nice photos of us. Dad and I played some ping pong. We went to Bubba Gump for dinner. There when you need the waitresses you put a sign up and they run to you.
23 April
This morning we had an hour long drive to the crocodile park. First we saw lots of crocodiles. The man with a long piece of Bamboo poked a big crocodile. It jumped and snapped it's jaws. I jumped back and screamed. There was some snakes and in their cages was all their shredded skin, It was gross! Then we watched a weird crocodile show. The crocodiles looked like they's been hypnotyzed. We went back to the hotel and had lunch there and had a nice swim.
24 April
This morning after breakfast we walked up the street to Waterbom Park. The day before we had booked a cabana so we went and put our stuff in it. First I went on the 'macaroni tube' water slide. I went in a double tube with Mum It went really fast and got really dark. I went on it twice and then had an icecream. Then I went on another slide called rafting river. I went on it 9 times. One of those times I went backwards. I went on the Macaroni 5 times. I also went on another slide called the Boogie Ride. On it you had to lie on your tummy on a mat. The slide was really reallys steep. It just went straight down with some bumps. When we got back to our hotel our room wasn't ready so we had a short swim in the pool.
25 April
This morning we walked to the Kuta Paradiso Hotel to check that our plane tickets were still okay. They were. Then we walked to Matahari. There Thomas bought some playdough and I bought a wooden bookmark. On the bookmark it said Bali and it had a little bear on the top. After Matahari we went to McDonalds and I had a McFlurry with smarties. While we were eating there was a cockroach on the wall so the security man got it for us. We had a swim at hour hotel pool when we came back. Then I had my hair braided with orange and white beads. I also had my nails painted. (3 days until my birthday).
26th April
Today we're leaving Bali ): When we got to the airport we had an icecream I had choc chip. We got on the plane and I didn't want any of the lunch. When we arrived in Perth we had to wait in a big long line. I missed Bali already.
