maybe Inna Kuta may suit you. Some friends of ours love staying there. I spent 1 night at Mercure but moved on. Just didn't like it. It felt like a Singapore hotel which is fine if you happen to be in Singapore. Ramayana too is great location for ease of getting around. Maybe between those two it's just a matter of what price deal you can get.
