You'll be laughing at Animale - your size isn't too bad these days as middle class Indonesians are getting chunkier! For a splash out try Milos at other end of Kuta Square.
You may find shoes at Sogo and Centro at Discovery Plaza. I always buy size 40 (size 8 half in Oz and 38-9 in European) and know they often have 42 and the best thing is that they are usually written on the tag at the bottom and get crossed off when sold out of that size. The only problem may be that they tend to stick to a B fitting at best unless you go for comfy styles. You will always get your size in the cheapy baubled sandels in markets but they don't last long. Either do the Sogo less chunky styles but they are heaps cheaper and more choice than Oz.
