although I have never stayed there as it is out of our family budget for bali trips, we visited friends there and our kids joined in on the kids activities taking place around the pool and they had lots of fun. Waterbom Park is very close to this hotel so your kids would enjoy a great day there!!!
We always stay in legian and our favourite (having 2 girls aged 9 and 11) is the Melasti beach resort. Lots of families stay here and it is right on the beach. They do not have any organised activities as such for kids but there is always the pool areas where the kids congregate for a good time.
Another one in Legian which is popular with families is the Jayakarta hotel. Sorry I cannot comment on Legian beach hotel, but if you are after value for money than the Melasti is better priced than the Legian beach hotel, which means more spending money for you!!!!
