Marym.
We were in room 305 for one week commencing on 11 April 08. It is a premier room near the front entrance of the hotel and close to a pool. Our friends were in a Deluxe room, near the beach, which was not as large and was getting a bit tired. All the staff from the gate security to reception to restaurant(Breakfast) to room boys were excellent. Cleanliness was very good, breakfasts comprehensive and fine.It was a short walk to the front gate, there was a good moneychanger just past the tin fence a few metres to the left of the property when exiting and on the same side of the road. A few metres further on is a good shop for the purchase of DVDs etc and their upstairs stock is huge.Downstairs is a phone booth which supplied a sim card for the mobile phone at a cost of 55,000 Rupiah and we paid a further 100,000 Rupiah for a calls. We made several calls home and some local calls during the next 3 weeks and used up less than half the pre paid fees. There was an annoying 3 second delay forcing the use of the term "over".Compare that to Hotel charges for phone use.Not directly opposite but to the left of the one opposite was a cafe type restaurant that was handy for a snack and lunches. Give their soups a miss but everything else is fine. We had great meals at Macaroni only a short cab ride away. Their swordfish is magnificent and I am a fish lover.THIS HOTEL IS THE BEST VALUE OF THOSE THAT WE STAYED AT AND I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN. I fyou are buying watches from Ali Barba near the beach at this site tell him the asking price of 600,000 Rupiah for an automatic Rolex is way above the 130,000 I paid elsewhere and I was able to get battery type watches anywhere for 40,000 max and even down to 30,000.($4-$5)
Cheers. Have a good holiday. You have chosen well.
Stan
