Hi mandy do you plan on spending time up there, or are you just wanting day trips?
You could drive to Candi Dasa spend a night or two, then drive up to Amed, the coast road is a really beautiful drive and you will see a different view of Bali, so very poor but also very stunning.
You can spend time in Amed snorkeling or just pass through, we spent a day here last year but are staying 5 nights next trip.
Tirtagangga Royal Pools is a must beautiful gardens full of water ponds and ancient swimming pools that you can swim in, you can actually stay here.
There is so much to see and do on the east coast, it really depends on how much time you want to spend? what type of things are you interested in doing?
