Hey Chevy,
When you hold a ticket already, you will notice it mentions the baggage allowance. I hold a SA ticket (economy class) and it mentions clearly 20 kgs. Like most airlines, I suppose SA will not penalize if you exceed allowance by a few kilos, but that is purely based on goodwill.
