It is those I don't trust. The lady behind me said did you check the scales before putting your bags on? (silly me didn't) I watched her and she insisted they adjust the scales before she would put her bags on. She said the scales were floating between 3-4 kilos. In future i will be checking scales before i put my bags on. I will also be leaving the suit cases at home, Double striped bags for me as they weigh nothing.
