Booking two one-way flights

Has anyone used Commonwealth Bank's Travel Plus to book flights? Searching tonite I found that getting two one-way tickets is >$500 cheaper than getting a return for the time I am looking at.

I did ring up the office to see what the catch is but cant seem to find one. I have only ever booked return trips, and only through airlines - has anyone done two one-ways via a travel website and had any, or no problems? Would love to hear your experience either way.
