I have flown both Garuda and Jetstar to Bali previously. To me it's a 5 hour trip to paradise so I don't tend to whine much about the trip in the plane. I flew Jetstar last year and couldn't fault them. Clean and plenty of room. Ordered a meal on the plane, not pre booked and it was fine. The beer was cold. All good.
Flew Garuda years ago, same deal with them. I am flying them again next tuesday.
The only thing I see a difference in is you get to bali in the night time with Jetstar (works out to be about midnight au time if on time) and with Garuda you get there in the afternoon. Hence why I chose garuda this time. But all much of a muchness. Price was about 100 difference, garuda dearer.
If you don't think about the flight, and think about the end destination, you'll have a ball...
